When should I use the LensAlign Long Ruler?

(a) Use the Long Ruler when you desire to test and calibrate your lens at a greater distance that the minimum recommended test distance of 25x the focal length. This may allow you to make adjustments at distances that are closer to your actual normal shooting distances

(b) Use the Long Ruler when the DOF exceeds approximately 6-7 inches. The standard ruler will not provide enough room at either end to adequately show enough of the DOF and its fall-off.
